We live at a time that is called 21st Century. Advanced Technology, Know how, Expertise, Wisdom, Knowledge and so on all there more than ever before. As is popularly said “Necessity is the mother of all inventions”, welcome to the 21st Century! Here you will find that you no longer have to dial a ten digit number to call someone (Speed dialing on mobile phones saves you your precious time). Just one click and your letter travels across continents in two minutes rather than two weeks and you can turn your lights off without getting up from your chair. That’s right folks; here in the 21st Century we have vastly advanced that crazy concept called technology. No more video cassettes or tape recorders. No more spending your money on music or movies. With just a click of a button you can have anything your restless heart desires.

        Technology

Technology has made our life changed a lot and comfortable too. Cell phones, computers, even coffee makers are now so much more efficient, quick and easy to use for most people. Not denying the fact that they are also tons of fun. We have got robots vacuuming our carpets and scrubbing our floors. We have everything in our homes just a click of button away. It’s really amazing how quickly technology is developing and how far it has come. Had we ever thought that a single chip would replace an entire assembly line of workers? This has helped in eliminating human errors and made work faster and more efficient (We can’t argue that this might be considered as a con since a single chip has become the cause for employment of an entire work team). There was a time when a person diagnosed as HIV positive was ostracized from the society as people thought that they would be infected too if they even touched the infected person. But thanks to the advancements in the field of medicine and health, now these people are treated with love and care and have a hope to live. New researches about human anatomy are done every day. Doctors and researchers all over the world are working hard to introduce new medicines and treatments which can cure even the deadliest of diseases. This has surely added some years to the average life span of humans.

           Morals

We got technology but what about morals, humane values - humanity, respect for human rights and etc. Now a day’s people do not feel responsibility toward other people’s concerns, no curtsy. Every body is thinking of himself/herself, how to get financial gains; if not working through legitimate and legal ways, go for some other way, no matter what.A lot of people (if not the majority) just are not able to think of someone else but them. Me; this is the first place I look. You may say: "But there are seven billions of people out there, am I supposed to think about all of them?" The answer is of course not, but could at least think about people around you. I don’t mean people standing near you on the bus stop. I mean your relatives, friends, teachers, students, colleagues... Well, I hope you got it.
With the speed in which today's world moves it can be hard to have principles and remain loyal to morals. It seems that at every step of the way there is something tempting us off track and away from what we know is right.

It seems that everywhere we look morals are fast disappearing or worse – they are non-existent. So how do you hold onto whatever morals you have even find them in such a fast paced world as today?

When I was in school and college (some 3 - 4 decades back from now) we were hoping that the future will give us better moral values, respect to human rights, courtesy and better understanding within people of various religions, races, sexes, ages and financial situation etc along with the advance technology. In those days there was a lot of talk about democracies and secularism in different countries all over the world (even in some of the Islamic Countries there was lot of talks about secularism). Progress and development for better social systems was in place somewhat, across all over the globe (Communist world is not in mention here). Besides the advancement in technology and developments in engineering (though it was not that much developed like today) but morals of human being; regardless of one’s religion, race, nationality, geography, economic situation and etc all that was not so bad. Most of the teaching and morale were high, going forward toward better human values and better humanity as well as other aspects of human life. There was progress through all the aspects of human life across the globe, along with technology, information, knowledge, wisdom and creation of wealth. Every thing was in progress gradually and relatively smoothly and was at its fast momentum; day by day and year over year.

Since 9/11 the world in which we live has changed. While during those first days and weeks there was a lot of talk that the world has changed. It is almost a decade passed by and the change is going to be from bad to worse and worsened and worsened. I am wondering where we are headed?
It seems to easy find a reason to hate someone. Because he thinks different, behaves different, pray different. So different people are the "infidels", undeserving their lives and their place, and every smartypants wanting to ignite a war, or simply club someone to death, starts inviting everyone near himself to hate.

Racism is much more than ever before. Terrorism is in spread all over the world. The fear factor is worse than that. Who is to blame? One group is blaming the other one. No one can prove. No solution feasible, no understanding, no mutual respect. A big blame game is on. There is a saying in some cultures that “Until an individual do not look at himself/herself within its own soul and conscious, no body can be blamed or proved otherwise“. The argument to cover up one lie; brings forth with tens of more lies. We are not civilized yet. Yes, we got the technology, information, knowledge, expertise, progress, wealth and all (as mentioned before) but we are not civilized yet; we can’t solve our problems over the table. All is blaming (blame game), exploitation, expansionism and terrorism.

Innocent peoples are killed every day in all over the world. In some parts of the world peoples are killed by suicide bombs or similar happenings, on the other side of the world there are murders, crimes, frauds (financial wise); that we hear and see in the media every day. Above all, the fear factor of terrorism is prevailing in Western and Developed Countries. This fear factor is going deep and deep in to our minds, souls, cultures, social sides of life and through to the younger generations. Hatred, crime, negative thoughts, immoral behavior and stress is everywhere.

Selfishness produces scarcity, which in turn encourages more selfishness in self and in others.
Fraud and cheating infuse a selfishness, brings disorder and chaos in society, bring inequality,
distrust, envy, violence, you name it.

Example. There is a limited but sufficient supply of food and other necessary resources that
everybody in society needs. Specific example- wheat and other crop, sugar etc; a selfish behavior apart of a few individuals could cause hoarding of supplies. Rich ensues scarcity and appearance of scarcity leads to further hoarding and the cycle is repeated over and over again. This situation hurts even the selfish people who started it. The supplies hoarded would eventually be exhausted due to other hoarding. So the cycle is vicious and not easy to break.

In response to the argument that greed and selfishness leads to increase supplies is erroneous. Efficiency and productivity of resources would accomplished by selflessness very well.  And a profit motive could be advanced later by not being selfish.

Scarcity or selfishness? Which comes first? Either could start the vicious cycle. Examples are
seen throughout the world. Wars- major and minor, conflicts at various levels, international, regional,
local communities, clans, families, individuals, could be traced to selfishness.

 Morality/charity

Creation of an exchange system with the device- money. Purpose; trade and a very effective
means to maintain and enhance inequality. Combining and forcing these devices by creating
powerful enforcement initiates/government and its tools (judges, residing communities, police, prisons, guilt etc).  Lack of humility is the cause/effect of all these apparatus to restrain and surprise any attempt to correct these inequalities. Example; to accumulate more and more resources in the form of tangible and intangible wealth and property ownership.

To enforce and maintain this an extreme inequalities the charity is brought in to appease the victims
of inequalities. Accumulating wealth with multiple order of magnitudes. An insignificant, scant amount is disposed of in the name of charity. Give them a pride pleasure riddance of guilt of their deceiving devices sense of grandness this device to appease the victims of inequality which they have created.

Fear mongering is one of the other devices/ law enforcement, torture, and suggestion of afterlife.
A very interesting and extremely effective device is a concept of money/tool of exchange that is
accepted by most if not all by this device the possessions are protected very easily with other
device called banks (deposit and wealth). They go to an extreme length to protect these devices an instrument of enforcement. Panic, pleasure. Panic! Pleasure!

Money/means of exchange. In acquiring the form of tangible and intangible entities. ---!
speculations (result of estimating/ expecting our fear of past experiences breeds greed and access
accumulation at any extent of attempt.

In result leaving (common public)  fellow earthlings further behind effecting
their welfare and existence- bare existence. The mere thought of loosing a very small fraction of
existing or potential gain gets them to act in a way that increases the inequality meaning driving
down their fellow even deeper. A billionaire does not want to loose half a million equal one over
two thousand of his possession or future gains in return of a five percent increase in minimum
wage.

Business and morals

In today's business world it can be hard to remain true to your morals when there are advertising campaigns to figure out. After all if you have a product or service to sell shouldn't it be good enough to sell by telling the truth and not having to fabricate claims of what it can and cannot do. However, in today's world it can be just as hard to find a businessman with morals as it can be to find a politician with them.

Being successful in business is usually based on the general idea that desire for making profits and self-interest are good and moral, however there still should be right ways and wrong ways to go about making a profit. Morals still should come into play no matter what, just because you are running a business it doesn't give you the right to lie, cheat and do what you consider to be morally wrong in order to make a living. This isn't what the successful businessman is all about, although there are and have been many business men that have got to the top solely by making the mis-telling of truth an art form and where morals seem to have gone totally out of the window for the sake of success?

Determination and strength of character are the two main assets that will allow you to hold onto your values, beliefs and morals. The majority of well balanced people have no problem determining what's wrong and right and what they see or are asked to do by others that goes against there beliefs they can say no too. Avoiding temptation and immoral people.

However, there are businessmen who will show a willingness to add ethical principles to the decision making structure of their business. When starting out in business it is important not to lose sight of your values and morals, some people value honesty and values above all else and will stick with them full stop no matter what while other have high ethics only to a certain degree then they fall by the wayside.

Some people regard ethics and morals as being the same thing, however they are not they are different and the difference is that a persons ethics determine what they see as right or wrong while morals are judgments, standards and rules of good conduct which guide people towards specific actions.

Knowing the difference between the two can help business managers as ethics programs are part of life in business and managers can hold sessions to discuss their values, ethics and morals for the company. A business code of ethics should be in place in every business and this will protect individuals and address moral issues and value of the business during decision-making processes.
However having a corporate code of ethics program in place isn't just an instruction manual put there to solve problems within the company. The whole idea behind the program is it will enable those who work there to have the valuable tool of saying "That is against our company's policy" or "It would violate the company's code of ethics".
